Mckenzie Appraisal Service - Established in 1990
Thank you for your interest in McKenzie Appraisal Service. We hope that the following overview of our firm, appraisal philosophy and qualifications satisfy your questions. We look forward to the opportunity to be of future service.
McKenzie Appraisal Service is a full-service appraisal firm. Our three full-time, accredited and / or certified appraisers specialize in individual areas of expertise ranging from antiques to toxic mold evaluations. Because each appraiser has varied areas of specialization, this enables us to provide comprehensive appraisals without seeking outside consultation in the majority of cases. As certified and accredited members of the International Society of Appraisers (ISA), we have access to a network of appraisers should that situation present itself. Our firm is unique in that we do not operate as a part-time business or as a sideline hobby. We are dedicated to appraisals and the individual needs of each client.
Once the client and appraiser have determined the client's needs and requirements, the appraisal process commences with an on-site inspection of the personal property selected for appraisal. At this time, the items are photographed, measured if necessary, and detailed notes are made regarding each item to determine either the fair market or replacement value of the item. In some instances, both values may be appropriate.
Upon completion of research, the formal appraisal document is prepared, including photographs corresponding to the numbered items, and the final document is bound and certified. A duplicate copy, exclusive of photographs, can be provided to the client at any time and may be required by insurance companies, attorneys or accountants. Our documents are legally binding and IRS compliant.
Should you require additional information, please do not hesitate to contact us at your convenience. We look forward to hearing from you.
Very truly yours,
Winston A. McKenzie, Jr., ANA
